FINANCIAL GIVING
Financial support of our everyday operations is essential to the work of providing basic needs support to our neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness. In addition to supporting our everyday operations, financial gifts are needed to support special programs and campaigns. Currently, we have need for ongoing support of our Laundry Love monthly laundry service as well as our Clean Start Crew. Additionally, we are seeking support for our annual Christmas Celebration as well as our Veteran's Campus fundraiser, "Strike it Up for the Vets." Sponsorships OR individual donation opportunities are available.

We are also currently in the process of raising support for a new veteran apartment complex in Omaha called Legacy Grove. Please contact our Development Office if you have interest in supporting our work through a donation, sponsorship, or campaign gift.

VOLUNTEER
Our vision for addressing hunger and homelessness in our community includes YOU! While we advocate and provide care for our neighbors every day, we cannot accomplish this work alone. It takes the entire community to help individuals rise from their current situation and move into a place where they can receive help, feel a sense of hope, and move forward in opportunity.

We rely on hundreds of volunteers to keep things running smoothly at New Visions. From helping in our kitchen to sorting donations to working in our garden, we’d love to have you serve with us!
​
Our Council Bluffs meal-site relies on daily volunteers to serve meals to hundreds of individuals. Volunteers can serve lunch with us Monday-Friday from 11:30AM-1PM, or serve dinner with us every day of the week from 4:45PM-6:15PM.

In addition to serving in our kitchen, we offer limited opportunities for individuals or groups to serve in other areas. We also operate an annual Christmas Celebration and Giveaway in Council Bluffs that requires hundreds of volunteers to help us during the holiday season. We begin scheduling groups and individuals for this event in the late summer/early autumn of each year. Please email us for more information about volunteering for our Christmas Celebration!

IN-KIND DONATIONS
Many of our supporters enjoy donating supplies that will help with our mission. This is called in-kind giving. We are so grateful to our generous community for thinking of us with their donations, and these practical gifts support our mission in very impactful ways!

From sweet corn to dog kennels, we can accept many new and used items. While we cannot accept every item due to storage limitations, there are many supplies and items that we can accept and that will be tremendously helpful to us in our work.
