Sethiroth's Story

Sethiroth was 18 years old when he walked through our doors at New Visions just over a year ago. He had suffered from a broken relationship with his family, and had spent a few weeks sleeping in a bush before meeting a pastor at a Taco Bell who told him he was too young to be on the streets. That pastor brought him to our Emergency Shelter. Sethiroth said that he grieved and "sulked" for a few months while he tried to find work, connected with others in similar situations, and ultimately began to talk with Nicole, one of our rockstar Shelter Advocates. After a lot of hard work and determination, Sethiroth got a job at Raising Cane's and recently got his own apartment. "I still have a lot of hardships," says Sethiroth, "but I'm in such a better place now... all of the good things outweigh the hard things." We are so proud of Sethiroth and the work that he and Nicole have done together to put him on the path to stability and success as he starts out in his young life.
