Summer Point-In-Time (PIT) Count

On July 21, 2026, New Visions was honored to help coordinate our community’s Summer Point-in-Time Count. The Point-in-Time Count is an important effort that helps our community better understand how many of our neighbors are experiencing homelessness on a single night. The information gathered helps guide funding, improve services, identify gaps, and ensure that resources are directed where they are needed most.

We are incredibly thankful for the amazing community partners who came together to make this effort possible. A special thank you to Heartland Family Service, the Council Bluffs Police Department, Visiting Nurse Association, MICAH House, Threshold CoC, Nebraska Methodist College and our dedicated community volunteers. Your willingness to work side by side demonstrates what is possible when a community comes together with compassion and purpose.

Ending homelessness is not the work of just one organization, it takes all of us. Together, we are making sure our neighbors experiencing homelessness are seen, counted, and most importantly, reminded that there is hope.
