Board of Directors Spotlight: Jesse Skudler

It’s been our pleasure to introduce you to our Board of Directors over the past few months. We’re so grateful for this team of leaders who are committed to guiding our programs and practices as we work to better serve our community together! While Jesse is the newest member of our Board of Directors, he is no stranger to New Visions. “I’ve been a part of the mission of New Visions in some form or another for the past 26 years,” says Jesse. From past Board service to volunteering to consulting and advising, Jesse has long supported our mission of providing help, hope, and opportunity to our neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness.

An Associate Broker with NP Dodge Real Estate, Jesse brings many different professional and personal connections to his service with our Board. He serves on the Professional Standards committee for the state of Iowa as a hearing panelist as well as serving on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the City of Council Bluffs since 2021. He has also served on the Dodge Cares Board and was the Board President from 2010-2018. He currently serves on the Southwest Iowa Association of REALTORS and the Council Bluffs Advisory Council (CDAC).

A big supporter of our mission, Jesse believes that New Visions plays an important role in keeping our community strong. “New Visons meets people where they are to offer a hand in a time of need,” says Jesse.

Amidst his vast professional work and service, Jesse also finds time for a little bit of fun. “I love running sound for different churches and venues,” says Jesse. “I also like playing cards or shooting pool, and I enjoy working on little building projects.” We’re so grateful that Jesse counts New Visions amongst his many commitments, and we look forward to continuing to build connections in our community together.
