Meet Kasha! Having served on our Board of Directors since 2018, Kasha is currently serving as our Board Vice President. Kasha has spent the past 24 years at Centris Federal Credit Union and currently serves as their Assistant Vice President of Financial Services. “My passion is helping people achieve their financial dreams by building and leading strong teams that are dedicated to serving our members,” says Kasha. “I love being able to bring my financial background to New Visions and contribute in a way that helps strengthen an organization that has given so much to the community that raised me.”
Kasha’s connection to New Visions goes back several years. “My association with New Visions is personal,” says Kasha. “New Visions once cared for members of my family in ways that we simply could not. Watching the staff serve people with dignity and compassion, while recognizing that every person experiencing homelessness is someone’s loved one, made a lasting impression on me,” says Kasha. “It did not take long for me to know I wanted to be part of supporting that mission.” And she certainly has supported our mission in many ways since then. In addition to serving on our board for the past 8 years, Kasha has also been involved in our annual Christmas Celebration, serving on the Christmas Committee and as one of our key volunteers at the event.
Outside of work and board service, Kasha loves learning new things. “This past year,” she says, “I built an AI-powered training assistant that helps our staff at Centris practice real-life member interactions through live roleplay scenarios. Apparently, my hobbies now include building robots that help people learn to talk to others. The irony is not lost on me!” Kasha has been married for 22 years, and she has three wonderful children who keep life busy and entertaining. In addition to spending time with family, Kasha says that she’ll go anywhere if tacos are involved! 😊 We’re so grateful for Kasha’s service to our board, our mission, and to our clients over the past several years, and we’re honored to have Kasha representing New Visions in the community that we all love.
