New Visions Launches Clean Start Crew

We're thrilled to announce the launch of a NEW program at New Visions this Spring! The Clean Start Crew offers an opportunity for Shelter guests to earn a stipend while working on community beautification projects such as post-encampment cleanups and others. In addition to a stipend, the crew will receive safety training, PPE, and transportation to worksites. Daily structure, peer mentorship, and community visibility will promote dignity, purpose, and accountability. This program builds real work history, professional references, and rental readiness while visibly improving Council Bluffs’ public spaces and strengthening relations between the community and those experiencing homelessness.

We're grateful to our friends at First Christian CB for donating the seed money to start this program. Funds will help us pay for gear, supplies, gas money, and pay stipends to Shelter guests participating in the program.
